Those Christians who do not celebrate Christmas are fully aware that this particular celebration with all it's current customs was originally for a pagan god of which the God of the bible, Jehovah, clearly states such worship is unacceptable (Duet 11:16; Romans 1:23-25). What is especially interesting is that history shows neither Jews nor first century Christians celebrated anything other than what was specified in the bible. It wasn't until the 3rd century Christmas became a so-called Christian celebration.

But what of the symphony that leaves the audience wondering? What of the book that does that? That was the question that I grappled with in my last post, and I'm not sure it has an answer, but Forster's words...that the notes or words have been freed...in other words, have taken on an independent life...appeal to me.
